Ashleigh Marie Brown
California-based writer/Producer from Virginia
As an English Literature & Creative Writing major at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, Ashleigh once considered a career as a lawyer, lobbyist, or elected public servant before fully realizing she was ill-suited for the political sphere. (This was, of course, pre-Election 2016).
Creator of woman’s interest blog TheBisCrazy.com, Ashleigh has written editorial content for digital magazines and worked as a copywriter for clients in the entertainment, tech, advertising, and corporate media spaces, including notables like TechSoup, 310 Nutrition, and Nike.

As a screenwriter, she wrote and produced a web series (M.A.S.H. the Series) and worked production for other digital projects. She’s written multi-platform features for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, Walden Media, as well adapted a novel to screen for American Cinema International in partnership with Wal-Mart and The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media's Bentonville Film Festival.
When not writing, Ashleigh enjoys reading, working out, cooking, and fully embracing the primary stereotypes of being a southern woman, including an undying devotion to mascara, bourbon, and a casual disregard for volume. She loves all things vintage and, given a choice of superpowers, would easily choose time travel.
Her writing is a vast exploration of cultural anthropology, History, family dynamics, and womanhood.
