Ashleigh Marie Brown
a Los Angeles-based writer/Producer from Virginia
An alumnus of The George Washington University in Washington, DC (back, notably, at the beginning of the 21st century when the "The" in the University's name was a mandate and not a trivia question), she once considered a career as a lobbyist or elected public servant before realizing she was likely too outrageous for the political sphere. (This was, of course, pre-Election 2016.)
Creator of women’s interest blog TheBisCrazy.com, she's also written editorial content for Yahoo Voices and Honey Magazine as well as served as a copywriter for private clients in the entertainment, tech, advertising, and corporate media spaces, including work with organizations like TechSoup, 310 Nutrition, and Nike Women LA.

As a screenwriter, she's written and produced a web series and worked production for other several other digital projects. Currently, she's working on multi-platform features for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel as well American Cinema International in partnership with Wal-Mart and The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media's Bentonville Film Festival. Her latest work, adaptation THE GIRL FROM FELONY BAY, based on novels by YA author J.E. Thompson, will be released theatrically in 2018 utilizing the revolutionary Barco Cinema laser projection experience.
When she's not writing, Ashleigh enjoys working out, cooking, and fully embracing the primary stereotypes of being a southern woman, including an undying devotion to mascara, bourbon, and speaking one’s mind with a casual disregard for volume. She loves all things vintage and, given a choice of superpowers, would easily choose time travel.
Her writing expresses her love for and fascination with socially acceptable forms of psychosis and focuses on the vast exploration of cultural anthropology, family dynamics, and womanhood.
